Cable knitting. So cosy, so squishy, so satisfying. Even better news, knitting with this stitching pattern is far easier than it looks. Cable knitting is one of those big-impact skills that is well worth having up your (handknitted) sleeve. Just book into this evening workshop to find out more...
This workshop will cover:
You’ll be working on a little cable panel that will give you a chance to try out cables of different sizes and complexity. If you fancy, you can keep knitting this panel and turn it into a scarf or cowl - you’ll get instructions on the day of how to do just this.
With only six people in the group, there’ll be plenty of time to try out all the techniques on your own cable panel. You’ll have loads of help to make sure your cables are doing just what they’re meant to do.
This workshop is perfect for advanced beginners and intermediate knitters who want to start knitting lots of lovely cabled patterns. It’s also going to have some sneaky tips for more experienced knitters who want to know things like how to work without a cable needle – because those things run away.
The cost of a ticket includes cable needles, handouts, patterns, tea, coffee, and way too many biscuits.
After this workshop, you’ll be ready to take on all sorts of cabled wonders. Since the workshop is taking place in a knitting shop, you’ll have a chat about the next steps and possible patterns towards the end of the experience, and you can even grab your supplies before you head home. You'll be quite the whiz by then!
Please note: a minimum of 2 bookings are required for this workshop to run. If this number isn't reached the host will be in touch to discuss re-scheduling.

Another great workshop from Jacki. Cannot recommend her workshops enough. She explained cable knitting really well and I went home and purchased far too many cable knitting patterns which now all make sense!
I really enjoyed this experience. Jacki was really knowledgeable and very approachable when I had any questions. It was a lovely way to spend an evening and I would definitely recommend.
Jackie is a fantastic teacher with a knack for making things which seem impossibly hard simple to understand. Lovely experience!
