The bobble hat is a classic knitted piece and in this workshop you’ll master the basic stitches to make your own cosy creation before the evening is out.
If you’re not a knitter yet… fear not! The experience comes in two parts, with the first section spent concentrating on knitting, purling and the techniques you'll need in the hat pattern. After spending time practising with the help of your local host Sophie, you’ll be confident enough to move onto getting started on your very own hand-knitted bobble hat.
The length of the experience means you can take your time picking up the stitches and really relax into your knitting with no pressure of the clock ticking!
All the materials and tools you need to make your hat are provided. This includes vegan-friendly yarn in lots of lovely colours, a set of bamboo double-pointed knitting needles, a tapestry needle and a printed pattern. If you'd like to continue your knitting journey at home, you can take a tutorial booklet away with you and you'll have the opportunity to buy more supplies such as yarns and tools if you'd like to.
There will be a break for lunch in the middle of the experience, so bring a packed lunch or pop out to the wonderful Old Market. Tea and coffee will be available at the studio throughout the day, so please get in touch with your host if you have any allergies or dietary requirements so they can ensure there's something for everyone.
