Darning your Knit Wear

Join Meret of Re_Thrindle for a knit repair workshop that will breathe new life into your favourite cosy clothing.

Holes in knitwear can be tricky to mend and need to be taken care of quickly so that they don't unravel. Learn how to use crochet hooks and yarn to fill any unsightly holes in your knit. Bring a knitted item that's in need of mending, all other materials will be provided.

What to expect:

  • Learn how to fill in holes in your knit wear
  • Learn beginner-friendly repair skills
  • Repair a well-loved item of clothing

This workshop is best for holes and tears in knit, especially junky knit such as woolly jumpers.

On the day

  • Meet Meret in the fashion department workshop space at Sparks Bristol (it’s the yellow corner next to the rework atelier). Bring an item to work on.
  • If you’re unsure which would be the best workshop for mending your item, contact Meret through Yuup.
