The blanket scarf is the ultimate winter accessory and in this workshop you’ll master the techniques needed to make your own stylish scarf.
You don’t need to be a knitter already to create your own masterpiece, as your host Sophie will guide you every step of the way. The experience comes in two parts, with the first section spent concentrating on casting on, casting off, knitting and purling. Once you’re confident with these techniques, you’ll move onto section two where you’ll get started on your very own hand-knitted blanket scarf.
The length of the workshop means you can take your time learning and really relax into your knitting with no pressure of the clock ticking!
All the materials and tools you need to make your scarf are provided. This includes vegan-friendly yarn in lots of lovely colours, a set of knitting needles, a tapestry needle and a printed pattern. If you'd like to continue your knitting journey at home, you can take a tutorial booklet away with you and you'll have the opportunity to buy more supplies such as yarns and tools too.
There will be a break for lunch in the middle of your experience, so bring a packed lunch or pop out to the wonderful Old Market. Tea and coffee will be available at the studio throughout the day, so please get in touch with your host if you have any allergies or dietary requirements so they can ensure there's something for everyone.
There are no upcoming dates for this experience.
Existing dates have all sold out, but you can book now and schedule later when new dates are released.

Sophie has been knitting for almost 10 years and launched Moloneymakes in 2016, primarily selling premium, super-chunky vegan knitwear. Now the business has evolved and Sophie enjoys making knitting accessible to everyone through running workshops and selling craft kits.
She encourages people to carve out some time for mindful crafting with her range of vegan-friendly craft kits and yarns, crochet and knitting patterns and sustainable bamboo needles and hooks.
Sophie’s mission is to help others cultivate a sense of mindfulness for themselves by utilising the therapeutic benefits of knitting to find quiet moments of calm. It’s a simple act, but the gentle rhythmic movement of the needles can be exactly what you need in order to reset and decompress at the end of a long day.
