EmailCreate. Animate. Imagine. Give your child the chance to discover the magic of stop motion animation this summer. In this fun, 2 hours long, hands-on workshop, they'll sculpt their own clay characters, and bring their creation to life one frame at a time with the magic of stop motion animation. By the end of the session, they'll leave with their very own animated short film to keep and share with family and friends. Taught by a professional animator
The workshops are led by Maraike Kraemer, a professional stop motion animator whose work includes productions such as Chicken Run, Wallace & Gromit, and Shaun the Sheep. Through Jolly Fox Studio, Maraike loves inspiring the next generation of animators by sharing the creativity and joy of claymation. Designed for children aged 8–12, the workshop is welcoming, relaxed and suitable for complete beginners.
Whether your child already loves animation or simply enjoys making, building and creating, they'll be guided every step of the way in a friendly, encouraging environment where imagination comes first.
Your child will:
Sculpt their own clay character
Learn the basics of stop motion animation
Create and animate their own short film
Take their finished animation and sculpts home to share with family and friends
No previous experience is needed. Just curiosity, creativity and a willingness to have fun. Places are limited to keep group sizes small and ensure every child receives plenty of individual guidance. What to bring

The "Stop Motion Studio" App already downloaded (turquoise App with white camera)
A drink for your child
Everything else will be provided by Jolly Fox Studio.

I’m a professional stop motion animator with a passion for hands-on creativity and playful storytelling. At Jolly Fox Studio, I offer stop motion claymation workshops for children, "Animte & sip" events for adults who want to do stop motion in a chill environment, as well as seasonal themed needle felting classes that spark curiosity, boost confidence, and celebrate artistic expression.
My workshops are designed for anyone who wants to explore animation or crafting in a safe, supportive, and pressure-free environment. Whether you’re discovering your creative side for the first time or building on existing skills, you’ll find guidance, inspiration, and plenty of fun at Jolly Fox Studio. I believe everyone is creative - sometimes you just need the right space to let your ideas grow.

I'm Maraike, the owner of Jolly Fox Studio.
As a professional stop-motion animator, I’ve had the pleasure of working on films & series like "Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget", "Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl", "Shaun the Sheep" Series 7, and "Pokémon Tales: The Misadaventures Of Sirfetch'd & Pichu" at Aardman Animations.
Animation and teaching are my greatest passions, and with Jolly Fox Studio, I’m lucky enough to combine both. My approach to teaching is centered around inclusivity, creating a space where everyone feels comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. I believe the best way to learn is through enjoyment, where making mistakes is part of the fun, not something to be afraid of.
At Jolly Fox Studio, I offer a range of workshops, including Kid's Claymation, Animate & sip sessions for a relaxed go at stop motion animation for adults, needle felting, where you can create felted objects and, if you’d like, animate them, as well as stop-motion animation courses for beginners and intermediate animators. My beginner courses are perfect for those new to animation, offering a relaxed, fun introduction. For those who are ready to take their skills to the next level, the intermediate courses provide a deeper dive into industry-level techniques.
I also offer feedback sessions for showreels and am available for talks and interviews.
