By the end of the weekend, as a team, you will have built from scratch a freestanding sink and cooker unit with the following:
In the process you will also brush up on plenty of skills, including how to shape units to your van’s interior, work with different materials and build bed frames. In a weekend’s work, that’s seriously impressive!

I learned far more than I thought I would. I can now plumb in a sink and water system and wire up and troubleshoot the electrics for my camper van, and feel confident doing it. I cannot recommend this course highly enough . The workshop is awesome .Scott is a great teacher, very chatty and puts you at easy and is patient taking time to explain things. Fantastic !!! 🤗
Everyone will be expected to take a Covid test on arrival at the workshop each day
Face masks will be compulsory until all Covid related tests are completed
You need no skills in woodwork, metalwork or using tools for these courses,
Old clothes, work boots, and work gloves are recommended
All courses are run indoors
Under 18’s can take part if accompanied by a parent or guardian also on the course
Free tea and coffee on tap, throughout the day
Course Location courses can be either in Glastonbury or at Scott's own workshop near the Bath and West show grounds (BA46QN) and will be confirmed.
Max is the inspiration behind "Black Paw". He takes an active interest in all Black Paw experiences and can usually be found at lunchtimes, or indeed when any food is available to share.
Scott is Black Paw’s founder. After years of upcycling, he still loves to share his craft and has taught many people to upcycle safely in a number of different workshop experiences. Scott's aim is always that his guests not only leave with a finished creation, but also the knowledge to upcycle long after their experience is over.
Sue has 30 years of experience as a teacher as well as a passion for upcycling.
She particularly loves working with fabrics, interior design and can share lots of ideas for anyone wanting to make garden accessories.
