pottery throwing: beginner workshop for 2

Have you always wanted to have a go on a pottery wheel? Well, now you can! This introduction to pottery throwing workshop will show you how to throw basic shapes out of clay.

In this one and a half hour workshop, you will be shown the basic techniques of throwing pottery using a spinning wheel. Your host is Trevor Lillistone, a professional potter, who will work with you one on one, and show you all the tricks of the trade. You'll be whipping up your own pots in no time!

What to expect:

• Be taught the basics in how to throw your own cylinders or bowls
• Have a go on the spinning pottery wheel
• Have one on one help to guide you
• Leave with around 3 to 4 pieces made by you

This workshop will give you a fantastic introduction to throwing your own pottery. Leave with unique pieces to display and a set of new skills!

After the workshop, your pieces will be glazed by the tutor and ready to collect in approximately 4 weeks, or can be posted at an additional cost.

This workshop is designed for complete beginners, so no prior experience is necessary!
