Has trying your hand at knitting been on your bucket list for a while? Well, now's the time to start!
In this super-chilled experience, your crafty host Sophie will show you the ropes, as she demonstrates the stitches which are the foundation for all knitting projects and helps you get to grips with your needles. You’ll be able to take your time and really relax into your knitting in this friendly environment.
You'll get to choose a vegan-friendly ball of yarn from a range of lovely colours, then as you practice, Sophie will be on hand to guide you through all the technical bits like casting on, knitting, purling and casting off. Once you’re feeling confident with your new skill, you’ll have the opportunity to start combining these techniques to create different stitches and textures.
We know you’ll want to carry on knitting at home, so you'll get to take away a set of bamboo needles and a printed 'how to knit' booklet. You'll also have the chance to stock up and buy more supplies such as yarns and tools if you'd like to.
Tea and coffee will be available at the studio throughout the day, so please get in touch with your host if you have any allergies or dietary requirements so they can ensure there's something for everyone.

Sophie has been knitting for almost 10 years and launched Moloneymakes in 2016, primarily selling premium, super-chunky vegan knitwear. Now the business has evolved and Sophie enjoys making knitting accessible to everyone through running workshops and selling craft kits.
She encourages people to carve out some time for mindful crafting with her range of vegan-friendly craft kits and yarns, crochet and knitting patterns and sustainable bamboo needles and hooks.
Sophie’s mission is to help others cultivate a sense of mindfulness for themselves by utilising the therapeutic benefits of knitting to find quiet moments of calm. It’s a simple act, but the gentle rhythmic movement of the needles can be exactly what you need in order to reset and decompress at the end of a long day.
