If you’re curious about foraging, but don’t know your wild garlic from your nettles, this is a great place to start.
You’ll be left in the wonderful hands of your host Leah - a seriously passionate forager. Leah will cover all the basic principles. Sharing her knowledge as a bushcraft practitioner, Leah will show you how to safely identify and gather wild food, before embarking on your adventurous journey.
You will wander through Combe Hay Vineyard’s peaceful and private woodland. As you do so, discover the importance of sourcing seasonal and sustainable produce. Take in all this new knowledge while absorbing your picturesque surroundings.
Your walk will then take you to the local countryside where you are introduced to different edible and poisonous plants, flowers, fruits and mushrooms. Leah will open your eyes to a world of flavours, wild food and folklore, you never imagined were possible. This experience will set you up for a lifetime of foraging.

Loved our morning, foraging in the beautiful vineyard and beyond. We’ve already started planning more foraging trips and recipes we’d love to make one day. Thank you!
Leah is incredible! I left the session buzzing and even went foraging the next day to put all my new found knowledge to the test.
I highly recommend to anyone who wants a lovely day out and to learn more about the wonderful plants and fungi around us.
I will definitely be returning for a different season.
Thank you!
Leah was great and very knowledgeable, a great way to spend a sunny Saturday morning ☺️
Leah is INCREDIBLY knowledgable about the woodlands and clearly loves teaching, and I really enjoyed walking with her and the group discussing foraging and the dos and dont's. The day felt super accessible as a beginner (as well as getting to learn some more niche things), was really practical and hands-on, and has provided loads of different options for me to go and do further research, too! Highly recommend :)
Leah is very nice and friendly and extremely, knowledgeable and passionate about the subject. Would definitely recommend to anyone as a first intro to foraging.
A hidden gem
A brilliant day out and something different to do!
Leah was a great facilitator and I learnt a lot. I felt the experience really helped connect me back to nature. I couldn’t stay for lunch, though wished I had but the walking experience was good in and of itself. Would definitely recommend as an intro course and was a lovely gift for my partner.
Very knowledgeable guide - fascinating tour and lots of information about the subject.

Growing up in North Wales Leah developed a real love for the outdoors. This only grew as in her later years she pursued her passion for all things foraged. Leah finds great fulfilment connecting with people of all ages and helping them to connect with nature in turn.
