Fantastic. Carla was very patient and we both really enjoyed the workshop. :)
Carla is great, patient, explains what needs to be done clearly, and very helpful. The small class size is perfect. The course has given me the basics to feel confident using my machine at home which is what I was after. Will be booking a dress making class in due course!
Carla was lovely and friendly and most importantly patient. She has given me confidence to start sewing or at least not be afraid. Thank you Carla.
Was great fun, I really recommend this course.
Fantastic. Carla was very patient and we both really enjoyed the workshop. :)
Carla was warm, friendly, easygoing and very knowledgeable! Carla made me feel comfortable, created a fun and light environment and encouraged a hands-on approach for learning.
Carla was great and it was very easy to follow what we were doing. It boosted my long-lost confidence with a sewing machine. I will be looking into booking other workshops with her, it was very enjoyable.
Being a complete novice with no sewing machine experience I booked the Beginners 2 hour session to learn how to use an inherited machine. Carla was great at showing me how to set the machine up and clearly explained how to use various stitching techniques with the option to make a drawstring bag or scrunchie. Class sizes are small making learning easier and Carla is a very good tutor and I am looking forward to the Tote Bag workshop next month. Happy to recommend. Thank you Carla.
This is a great beginner experience, I left feeling like I learnt a lot and can't wait to book the next level course! Thank you Carla
Though we did not have time to go through button holes, I still thoroughly enjoyed the session and left feeling a lot more confident with my sewing skills
Really enjoyed the session with Cara.. As suggested by Cara it would have been helpful to have a handout with a simple diagram and explanation for each type of seam covered in lesson.. Cara was friendly, approachable and encouraging would definitely be interested in doing other dressmaking/ pattern making courses withhher
Carla was a brilliant teacher - inspiring, gentle, encouraging and really good at what she does. The workshop space is lovely, and it was great to hear a little more about the other projects that Carla is working on at the end of the workshop. I came away feeling inspired, and keen to get back to my machine. I am looking forward to coming back to another workshop soon, and have already recommended her studio to several friends. Thank you!
I really enjoyed this workshop, and it has given me the motivation to continue learning to sew! Carla was an amazing host and teacher - she gave me lots of confidence, was talented, fun, and kind. I was a complete beginner, and learnt how to thread the machine, lots of different sewing techniques, and made a cute scrunchie. I would love to go to another workshop run by Carla!
