For people who want to explore creativity through nature, join us for a relaxed walk with intentional stops along the way to sketch and connect with the outdoors.
Join us at The Community Farm for a new, on-the-go creative workshop hosted by local artist and illustrator - Sam Pierpoint. This in-person event combines the joys of hiking through scenic trails with the peaceful practice of sketching the beauty of the mendips, hedgerows and meadows around us.
We will have a morning of autumn exploration, chatter, and scribbles where the sole objective is to slow down and spend some time connecting and creating in nature. This event is for all levels whether you’re a seasoned artist or if you’re hoping to try something new.
09:00 - 09:15: Gathering at the Yurt
We’ll begin in the yurt with a warm welcome, cup of tea and a short settling activity.
09:15 - 10:50: Hike and draw
From the yurt, we’ll head out on a gentle 2-mile walk through the surrounding hedgerows, fields and woodland. Along the way we’ll stop to sketch, notice the details and share observations. I’ll bring foraging and plant ID books for anyone curious to explore further. Expect a relaxed pace with plenty of breaks.
10:50 - 11.00: Closing circle
We’ll return to the yurt for a chance to share what we found, and some time to reflect together.
