Our March 2022 screenings at the Planetarium launch with the remarkable biopic Hidden Figures, which shines a light on female African-American scientists’ immeasurable contribution to the Space Race. The film will be preceded with a Planetarium star show.

In 1961, three African-American women – Katherine Johnson, Mary Jackson and Dorothy Vaughan – are working at NASA, against the backdrop of the Space Race. Discriminated against because of their race and gender, the trio and their unit nevertheless play a crucial role in a project to send an astronaut called John Glenn into orbit around the earth.

The nearest car park is Millennium Square car park which is adjacent to We The Curious.

Bus numbers 8 or 9 run between Bristol Temple Meads station and drop off at College Green. From College Green walk down the side of Bristol Cathedral and We The Curious will be in front of you.
