Bristol Film Festival's Harry Potter screenings in Clifton College Chapel have quickly become one of our calendar highlights, and this year they're extending the magic by screening the first three films in the beloved franchise!
Join them this Christmas season in one of Bristol’s most beautiful venues, which feels like Bristol’s very own Hogwarts. Step through Memorial Arch on College Road and make your way into this magnificent space, stop by the pop-up tuck shop, and enjoy these spellbinding films back on the big screen.
The first instalment is of course Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, introducing the wizarding world and “The Boy Who Lived”, as well as a host of great British actors in their debut outings in iconic roles.

Bristol Film Festival was started by director Owen Franklin in 2015. The Festival provides an alternative experience for lovers of film and cinema, and celebrates the cultural landscape of his home city, Bristol.
The concept is simple: to bring classic films back to the big screen, in some of Bristol’s most iconic and interesting venues, including Bristol Museum, Clifton Observatory, Bristol Cathedral, and Redcliffe Caves.
The films and locations are carefully matched together, and involve unique immersive elements - whether it's live performers, tours of venues after hours, or themed wine tastings, you can expect to leave one of our events having had a film experience unlike any other!
