Your host

Maria Fernandez Garcia

Maria is a Bristol-based forager and herbalist who started Healing Weeds to create a fun, human and relatable way to access foraging, no matter your experience.

Maria absolutely loves sharing this easy-to-learn knowledge through foraging walks, workshops and courses in Bristol where she shows people how to confidently identify and use some of the most common (and often most healing) plants in their local area. What people are saying

Maria was an excellent host, a perfect balance between informative and chilled we very much enjoyed our morning and highly recommend!

Really good fun, would recommend!

Lara Tetlow, May 2022

I so enjoyed the afternoon. I know many wild plants but learned many more along with how I can use them.
Maria showed me where elms grow (something I've not seen for over 50 years) I was a sceptic about herbal teas made from foraged plants - I'm a convert, courtesy of Maria.
I'm still smiling from a few hours well spent.
