The foraging experience was really interesting and good fun. We coverd the medical and cullunary uses of lots of common widespread plants, which has opened our eyes to the amazing plants the are readily available all around us. Maria was really knowledgeable and her warm, friendly approach made the information easy to digest alongside the lovely foraged tea we made at the end.
Bought as a gift for 2 friends and they loved it! Really happy they had a great time and the host was so helpful when booking the experience. Would definitely recommend!
Maria was a great host and we learnt so much on our walk. It was engaging, mindful and a lovely way to spend an afternoon.
We had such a lovely time foraging with Maria, she’s extremely knowledgeable and we learnt so much! We really appreciated the space she created for conversation, questions and learning from each other, whilst respecting the plants, too. We’d definitely come back!
Learnt a lot of practical and interesting knowledge from Maria about wild plants. She’s lovely to chat to and very easy going, making it a very enjoyable walk.
I brought the experience for a friend an she absolutely loved it. Marie was lovely responding to my last minute texts and it sounded really educational. 10/10
Really informative and practical and interactive walk and talk on herbs and their amazing properties and traditional uses
My friend got me this foraging experience as a birthday gift and I loved it! I learnt so much from Maria and the group. It was a beautiful day and having tea at the end with the foraged herbs was a particular highlight. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great experience. We learnt so much and Maria was a fantastic host.
Maria will be a passionate and kind guide through the wonders of foraging. She will pepper your tour with cultural easter eggs about the plants we find (and taste) which was a nice surprise. Really recommended!
Very informative guided walk. Looking forward to going out and seeing what I can spot myself. Feeling very inspired!
We had the best time on this Foraging Walk! Maria is very knowledgeable and teaches you about the amazing edible and medicinal plants in such a great way. We can't wait to book onto another walk or workshop and learn more! Thank you Maria for a great day, your passion is inspiring.
Maria was such a knowledgeable and welcoming host. Bought this experience as a birthday present for my mum and she really enjoyed it too. Definitely going to start using the plants 🌱
Maria was an excellent host, a perfect balance between informative and chilled we very much enjoyed our morning and highly recommend!
Really good fun, would recommend!
I so enjoyed the afternoon. I know many wild plants but learned many more along with how I can use them.
Maria showed me where elms grow (something I've not seen for over 50 years) I was a sceptic about herbal teas made from foraged plants - I'm a convert, courtesy of Maria.
I'm still smiling from a few hours well spent.
We love Maria! After our time together, we spent the rest of the day identifying and nibbling on all the edible plants we passed by. Previously overlooked plants and flowers are showing up everywhere, and we’re now even more alive to the plants we don’t know in a way that we feel able to learn and add to the foundation that Maria gave us!
Go and do anything that Maria puts out because she has the most wonderful presence and warmth backed by an unwavering knowledge of medicinal plants ❤️
A fun time out learning about edible and medical plants.
This course with Maria was just amazing! I learnt so much and found things I’d been looking for myself out in nature that I hadn’t managed to find. I would highly recommend this course. There was a lovely mix of people and Maria gave everyone attention throughout the course. I feel I can now go out in nature more confident and able to find what I’m looking for. Just a really great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Had a wonderful, Informative day out with Maria - I didn’t have much prior knowledge to foraging but she works really well with explaining the plants properties, how to harvest and what you can make it into to all levels of experience! I wish I picked more to bring home with me but feel like I can recognise and go forth with foraging and making now :) would absolutely recommend to anyone to get back in touch with nature
We loved the foraging walk we went on with Maria! The four of us in our group were new to foraging and we went away with some great knowledge of plants and herbs that we'd easily be able to swap into recipes at home. Maria took the time to explain the small signals we should look out for in the plants, as well as the poisonous ones to avoid. Tried nettle tea from nettles we picked for the first time — really fun. Lovely sunny day wandering along the riverbank. Would highly recommend.
I had such a wonderful morning with Maria learning about wild herbs and food! The location Maria chose was perfect with lots of edibles to look at and pick, and Maria was great at explaining different plants, how to spot the difference and their uses.
The walk was great for beginners and keen foragers alike and I’d recommend to anyone that fancies learning more about foraging and meeting likeminded people :)
Marie had such great enthusiasm for foraging that was very contagious! It was a wonderful engaging walk spotting all the plants that are available to us for free in woodlands. Would highly recommend! :D
The most enthusiastic host! Immersed with a lot of knowledge on a lot of aspects of a nature/forest walk, even learnt some history about Leigh woods too! Definitely worth the money for such a well thought out event and perfectly rounded up the experience with herbal tea at the end :)
Maria was a fantastic tour guide, so knowledgeable and super friendly a lovely afternoon.
Had a fab afternoon foraging - great host too and brilliant to enjoy such a fun activity outdoors :)
Such a great experience! Maria was a fantastic host with a wealth of knowledge. The experience has opened my eyes to what is growing around us that is edible or beneficial to us medicinally! Would highly reccomend.
A really relaxed and enjoyable course, Maria explained everything so clearly, it was so interesting and feel we learned so much in a couple of hours.
Really great to explore the outdoors and understand more about foraging. Good group size, really friendly and knowledgeable host. Added extra at the halfway point could have been to sample some nettle tea or cake made with dandelion flour - just to make it more of an experience.
Maria is so knowledgable and such a good foraging teacher! She made things accessible and kept us engaged the whole time! Brilliant walk!
I loved the experience with healing weeds, good energy, and well explained knowledge.
A lovely, relaxing and insightful way to spend an afternoon. Maria was a brilliant, friendly host who shared loads of great knowledge and I came away feeling like I’d learnt lots, plus the walk was beautiful. Perfect introduction to foraging!
A very enjoyable afternoon. Maria is a great teacher.
Absolutely loved this experience, Maria was such a brilliant host, so lovely and knowledgable. Had a great time foraging and learning lots and would definitely recommend this experience. I am now taking the tips I learnt and using them in my day to day life and can’t wait to get out and do my next solo forage!
Maria is the most wonderful guide to foraging. We were new to this coming in, but wanted to gain an understanding of what we could do with the natural herbs and plants around our local area. Maria was so lovely, welcoming and knowledgable - and I was surprised at how much of a good time I had! We learned so much from her about the local area, seasons, what the local flowers and herbs could do and how we can use them in our everyday lives.
Amazing experience for anyone looking to find out more about plants and herbal medicine.
Accommodating of a wide range of experience levels too. I went as a total beginner and learnt so much!
My friends and I really enjoyed the experience of wandering through beautiful Leigh Woods and taking the opportunity to stop and notice the amazing plants around us. Maria was a wonderful guide, warm, friendly and knowledgable. We didn’t have any foraging experience but learned lots and enjoyed tasting the plants as we went - and coming up with our own tea blend! We went on another walk the next day and couldn’t help noticing all the plants Maria had told us about. Highly recommend!
Maria took me and 3 other beautiful souls on a lovely foraging walk through the fields and forests of Stoke Part Estate, where we got the chance to connect with all the beautiful plants and learn about how they can be incorporated into our lives. Maria is very knowledgable about the plants, their benefits and how best to use them. She created a relaxed, fun, open and comfortable space to learn something new, be out in nature and be in the company of like-minded people. I would highly recommend!
Feel free to bring a notepad if you like to draw or take notes, a bottle of water and weather appropriate clothing.
