Foraging for wild tea and tastes

What you'll do

During this hands-on foraging experience, you’ll explore the hilly meadows of Hanham which are home to many wild plants that are perfect for making healing tea blends. Using her local knowledge, your host Maria will guide you to the best areas to discover these extraordinary plants and help you unearth the delights of sustainable foraging and plant identification.

These plants love the sun so you'll be walking through scenic, open fields to find them. You’ll then take to the wildcrafting station to make a number of loose leaf tea blends with the herbs you have seen and gathered on your walk. Maria will expertly talk you through multiple ways to blend different teas, combining taste and properties so you can make your own delicious set of herbal teas to take home and enjoy.

All that walking and crafting is bound to make you hungry, so we know you'll enjoy the delicious, wild vegan lunch that our talented outdoor chef has lovingly prepared! Expect to taste wild foods in all different forms and be inspired to create your own dishes from locally foraged plants.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and advanced foragers.
