Spring has sprung, making this the perfect time to experience a hands-on foraging walk through a series of picturesque meadows and woodlands before making your own delicious cordials and syrups.
As you walk between Kings Weston and Blaise Castle, you'll find an abundance of stunning wildflowers such as red clover, meadowsweet and elderflower blooming. These spring blossoms can be preserved beautifully in cordials and syrups so your knowledgable host Maria will show you how to identify and collect them from the meadows and along the hedgerows.
After this, you'll continue with the wildcrafting workshop. Here, with Maria's guidance, you'll be shown how to make a range of floral syrups, honey and cordials, using the wildflowers to enhance the taste and the healing properties.
All that learning, crafting and walking is bound to make you hungry so we know you'll enjoy the wild lunch out talented outdoor chef has lovingly prepared! Expect to taste wild foods in all different forms and be inspired to create your own dishes from locally foraged plants.
You'll leave the experience with lots of newfound knowledge and your own creations to enjoy at home – the syrups are really tasty added to water, fizz or cocktails!
This experience is suitable for beginners and advanced foragers.
Minimum fitness level required.
