Foraging & Botanical Printmaking

Join expert forager Maria of Healing Weeds, and talented printmaker Jemma Gunning for a unique foraging walk and botanical printmaking experience. You will leave with new-found knowledge to last a lifetime and your own botanical identification print made using wild plants.

What to expect

You will start the day with a beautiful guided walk through the pathways and Woods that are opposite Jemma's studio. During the walk, Maria will teach you plenty of skills in identifying local wild plants and learning where they grow.

You will learn how to identify, pick and use these plants with confidence. There’ll be plenty of time to ask questions and build up a solid foundation of knowledge so you can continue foraging on your own.

After the walk, you will stop for lunch (BYO) before getting inky in Jemma's studio. Enjoy getting creative as you get hands-on with printmaking. Jemma will show you how to press, place and create designs using plants, ink and paper. You will make unique botanical prints from the plants you picked on your walk, reminding you of the abundance of spring greens and what you can find all around you.

Although this is intended to be an introduction to foraging and printmaking, you’ll leave with enough confidence and competence to use these skills again and share them with loved ones.
