Foraging & Ayurveda: Make a Foraged Spring Pesto

Curious about foraging or Ayurveda, but not sure where to start? This spring workshop is for you.

In Ayurveda, spring is the ideal time to gently clear the heaviness of winter and reawaken the body. Bitter spring plants support digestion, energy and natural detoxification; and many of them are growing right where you live!

We’re Rosa and Sophie, the founders of Wild Ayurveda, and we’re here to empower people to feel confident using local plants to support seasonal wellbeing. In this beginner-friendly, full-day workshop, we’ll guide you through both the why and the how, so you can put what you learn into practice straight away.

What you’ll do:

~Start the day with a grounding introduction to Ayurvedic seasonal wisdom with Sophie, including an exploration of your own constitution (prakriti)

~Enjoy a relaxed lunch break on the beautiful Grow Wilder site (please bring a packed lunch)

~Join Rosa for a gentle, sensory foraging and plant identification walk, learning how to safely recognise spring plants, herbs and fungi for food and health

~Bring it all together by making a nourishing spring green pesto using foraged ingredients to take home

What you’ll leave with:

~A clearer understanding of how spring affects your body and energy

~The confidence to identify and use local spring plants safely

~Practical tools to support digestion, balance and seasonal wellbeing

~A jar of foraged spring green pesto

This experience is ideal for complete beginners; no prior knowledge of foraging or Ayurveda is needed. Group sizes are kept small for a relaxed, supportive learning environment.

The workshop takes place at Grow Wilder, based in the cosy Roundhouse with a log burner to keep warm throughout the day.

Wild Ayurveda

Wild Ayurveda is a seasonal collaboration by Rosa and Sophie, weaving together Ayurvedic wisdom and local foraging to support health, balance and connection to place.🍃

Guided by the rhythms of the land, their workshops explore how seasonal shifts shape our bodies and how the plants growing around us can be used as practical, everyday medicine. By combining hands-on foraging with accessible Ayurvedic theory, Wild Ayurveda offers tools for living in a closer relationship with the natural world.

Rosa and Sophie empower people to identify plants in their local environment confidently, understand their benefits, and use them in ways that are simple, nourishing and rooted in tradition.

Wild Ayurveda is an invitation to slow down, tune in, and learn from the seasons, one plant at a time.🌿
