Queen Warrior Witch Lover: Archetype Series

Dates: 4 workshops on Friday nights in November (7th / 14th / 21st / 28th) 6.30-8.30pm

Location: The Womb Room, Westbury Wildlife Park, Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol

What to expect: A deeper connection and awareness of yourself through the lens of the feminine archetypes. So, what is an archetype? An archetype is a set pattern of behaviour shared collectively by people, passed down by our ancestral heritage, and discovered symbolically through the myths, stories, and art of the species. Carl Jung defines archetypes as “the living system of reactions and aptitudes that determine the individual’s life in invisible ways.” We observe archetypes in every character of our personal dreams, the stories we read, the films we watch, the art we admire, and the collective myths we share. Examples: The Mother, The Rebel, The Hero, The Villain, The Explorer... each character acts out certain patterns of behaviour that we have become attuned to over time.

This is an offering for those who are seeking a safe space to explore our connection to these archetypes. We think that maturing a deeper understanding of how these archetypes show up in our lives, either in the people around us or in ourselves, will help provide us with the useful tools required to detect when an archetype is in it’s shadow form and how we can optimise towards its fullest expression. By simply knowing about the archetypes, we can spot them when they appear in our day-to-day lives. We can recognise when we’re shifting into their negative expression, and steer ourselves back into the positive. It’s a different way of looking at the characters within us and how we relate to them.

Disclaimer: This is a great place to say that we are not claiming to be experts on this subject, and the majority of our knowledge comes from books we’ve read, retreats we’ve attended and stories we’ve listened to. After her own journey reconnecting with her cycle and having completed trainings specific to women’s health, she is now focusing her attention on supporting women. She believes that a woman’s power lies in her connection with her cyclical nature and with other women, which has inspired her co-creation of women’s circles in Bristol with Nicole.

Nicole King (She/Her)

Nicole is a moon-gazing, feminine embodying, nature-wandering, lover of Mother Earth. Her wish is to share the gift of yoga and to hold space for all women to connect with their sacred feminine. She believes in the power of embracing both flow and rest. Nicole incorporates both these qualities into the yoga classes and women's circles that she facilitates.
