Switch Off Before Christmas: Festive Lampshade Workshop at Ashton Court Mansion

Before the Christmas rush takes over, give yourself a morning off.

Join interior designer Hannah Redden in the beautiful large lounge at Ashton Court Mansion for a slow, relaxed, hands on morning of lampshade making. Step by step, you'll cover and roll your own 20cm drum lampshade, with plenty of help choosing how to place your pattern for a professional finish.

No experience needed. It's the perfect way to switch off, slow down and make something beautiful just for you, or book a place for someone who needs a breather this Christmas.

All lampshade parts and tools provided.

What to bring: a piece of fabric you love, at least 70cm x 30cm, ideally a medium weight cotton or linen. Please iron it before you come.

If you adore interior styling and want to break free from run of the mill chain store offerings, it’s time to learn a new skill at a workshop. You'll leave with a stunning bespoke item that you created, alongside access to a wealth of expertise and insight into textiles, interiors and advice on how to express yourself through design.

I’d love for you to join me in a creative and holistic workshop, where we’ll work together to craft either a lampshade for your bedside table, for a larger floor lamp or a ceiling pendant.

It’s an opportunity to explore your passion for design while sharing an enriching experience, complete with a glass of bubbly, selection of hot drinks and some delicious treats to enjoy. No experience required, and plenty of fun guaranteed!
