NOTE: an Aerospace Bristol ticket is not required, only a planetarium ticket via Yuup (restaurant and gift shop access is free, with plenty of free parking).
An extra-long planetarium show for families, where you get to ask as many questions as you wish!
Enjoy a guided tour of the current night sky, travel to the International Space Station, handle a famous meteorite from outer space, and learn about the return to the Moon (next year) and preparations to land astronauts on Mars (in four years time!).
You'll see what life is like for astronauts in space, get a close-up look at their living quarters, and you may even see some shooting stars along the way!
Youβll then be taken on a thrilling ride through the Solar System, where you'll see what our neighbouring planets look like and learn about the incredible forces that shape our Universe.
The Family Planetarium Show with Astronomy Q&A is the perfect way to spend quality time with your loved ones while also learning about the wonders of the Universe. Aimed at ages 6 and older, it's guaranteed to leave everyone with a sense of wonder and awe!
PLEASE NOTE:
Audiences sit on foam flooring and adults may wish to bring a cushion. Children age 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult, and babies in arms go free.
The planetarium is dark when displaying the night sky, and the dome fan is a little loud during entry and exit.
Moving 360Β° imagery may cause motion sickness. Close your eyes / look away and it will pass.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESS:

This is one of the best experiences I have ever been to. The host was knowledgeable & had the perfect voice to move us through the visual show. As an adult I learnt so much and found it very moving. My 8 year old son also really loved it. It is fantastic value for money. I also really liked the Aerospace location. I have recommended to friends and our school community. Many thanks.
The host was equally entertaining and an amazing teacher. We learnt a lot whilst being entertained! Would definitely recommend to friends! Thank you!
We loved this. We thought it was such a magical experience. The host was fantastic - very knowledgeable, dealt with the kids questions very well, and had rather a calming voice. The music was beautiful and the visuals were absolutely stunning (better than the main Bristol planetarium and Greenwich planetarium) - which was unexpected for a 'temporary' dome. Me and my 6-year-old daughter will be visiting again soon! Thank you so much for a wonderous 40 minutes!
We enjoyed this and found it really interesting and informative. A little different from other planetarium shows we've seen, but great none the less. Loved that we hd the opportunity to ask lots of questions.
Was definitely worth it. Was provided with wealth of information and to top it all, holding the meteroite fragment was an absolute thrill!
Really interesting, educational and appropriate for children whether interested in space or not. It was interactive and looked at space from the human social perspective not just facts about space which made it much more interesting than any other similar event I have been to.
A truly special experience, and absolutely perfect for my children and I to experience a new way of learning about space. The host was really good at both teaching and interacting with children of all ages and sparking their interest in space. The planetarium itself was a really interesting immersive experience. Hosting it at Arnos vale was fantastic too as super convenient and lots to do before and after. Would Definitely go again!
Really interesting and inspiring, kids were very engaged.
Really cool presentation with different/more varied info than we expected. Host's knowledge extensive and questions encouraged. Surprised it wasn't sold out! Would go again.
This was a fantastic experience. My son thought it was βawesomeβ and I learned a lot. It was so immersive inside the dome. Recommend!
Very recommended.
My space mad son absolutely loved it and I enjoyed it too!
Very knowledgeable host. We all really enjoyed it.
A great experience, we had lots of opportunities to ask questions about space, planets, astronauts and rockets. Holding a real meteorite was a highlight for my space obsessed child.
Mario was fantastic in his hosting of the event. He was very knowledgeable and interesting. The whole show was terrific! Audio, imaginary, all of it. For transforming such a small space and making it such a large experience, kudos to all the team! Adults and our kid alike, we all loved it. thank you
time well spent and informative
Lovely relaxing journey through space.
Had a great time :)
Knowledgeable host, welcoming environment. Highly recommend.
Both our children loved this event. It was very interesting and well paced for kids (and adults!). Beautiful visuals and a calming atmosphere. Our 6 year old son now wants to be an astronaut! It was a great way to bring the awe and wonder of the universe to kids. Would definitely recommend.
Great informative experience
Such a cool experience in a beautiful venue, definitely recommend for families during the summer holidays!
Great experience for the whole family. We really enjoyed it. Thank you
Kids loved it, I did too
Very nice experience to do with the family in school holidays. Great host, lots of facts about space and our Solar System. Would recommend to other families.
We really enjoyed the experience as a family, it was information and fun and my daughter and her friend were mesmerised by what they saw.
Very informative
