Ethnobotanical Walking Tour of Kingsdown & Cotham

You may think of the plants you see every day in your neighbourhood as weeds, but they're actually full of amazing stories and uses that can enrich your life!

Join Nicholas, a passionate ethnobotanist, on a walking tour of Kingsdown and Cotham, two of Bristol’s most charming and historic suburbs. You’ll learn how to identify and appreciate the urban flora, and how they have shaped our culture, history and health over the centuries.

You’ll also discover the secrets of herbal medicine, folklore and language that are hidden in the plants, and how they can benefit your well-being. Each tour focuses on a specific medicinal herb, like lavender, rosemary or mint, and you’ll get to taste a tincture and a tea made from it.

This is a fun and enlightening way to explore Bristol from a different perspective, and to connect with nature and yourself. Don’t miss this opportunity to uncover the magic of ethnobotany in your own neighbourhood.
