WORKSHOP: Embroidery, Mending & Applique Patches

Have a garment in need of repair? Bring it along and learn to cover up holes or stains on your well-loved garments by creating a concealing appliqué patch from off-cuts and waste fabrics in this workshop.

Design your own or choose from your hosts folk art-inspired shapes and learn how to sew it using a blanket stitch. Ideal for beginners and those of intermediate sewing skill level.

WHAT TO BRING: Bring a garment in need of repair.

HOW TO FIND THE WORKSHOP: Head to the SPARKS project in the old Marks & Spencers building in Broadmead. The workshop will be in the 'Department of Imagination', an open space on the First Floor, where our talks will also be held.

Please arrive ten minutes early to allow time for finding the space.
