What to expect:
Grab a drink as we make our introductions - enjoy a drink on us (soft or alcoholic).
Learn the technique for ichiban dashi, and use it to make a warming cup of miso soup.
Learn and practise essential techniques: mixing flavour-balanced fillings, stretching and handling wrappers, pleating like a pro, and the ideal 3 step method for cooking gyoza.
Enjoy a hot meal of gyoza with dressed rice (these gyoza are provided by us, you get to keep all yours!).
Take home and freeze the 25-30 dumplings you make, along with a recipe sheet so you can recreate the experience in your own kitchen.

Guy is a fantastic teacher, and being in the kitchen is such a great chance to learn so much from him! Thank you for answering all our questions and for the delicious dumplings too!
I thought it was a really great experience. Iβm so glad I went. Iβm in love with their Gyoza even more now! π
Had a great evening learning how to make gyoza. Guy was a great host, explaining everything clearly and being on hand for any questions. The whole evening was well thought out and a brilliant chance to learn something new and enjoy eatchus incredible food!
Absolutely brilliant class with Guy, a founder of Eachu. It was great value, he was very knowledgable, passionate and made the session great fun! Highly recommend!
Host was knowledgeable and had lots of fun making delicious Gyoza! The class was small enough to get individual assistance and even got a dinner whilst there. Highly recommend this class!
Absolutely loved this masterclass run by Guy. I learnt so much and have developed new skills for the kitchen! Looking forward to making Gyoza for my friends.
We both really enjoyed this experience with Eatchu last night. Our host Guy was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, talking us through everything from the history and ingredients to the preparing and cooking process. We learnt a huge amount, had a delicious dinner made by the experts, and came away with full tupperware with surprisingly impressive looking gyoza's that will feed us for several more meals. We would definitely recommend this experience!
Fun evening learning about gyozas, with lots to take away to cook at home.
My partner and I loved this dumpling making class. The recipes were easy to follow and Guy was a fantastic host, telling us about the history of the cuisine and generally being a great teacher! Weβve walked away with many dumplings for upcoming meals and weβll definitely be making more in the future.
My partner and I both had a blast at the Teachu workshop. Guy shares his knowledge in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. We get to learn a lot about the Japanese ingredients and "why" do things in a certain way, so that we can reuse this knowledge ourselves without relying strictly on a recipe. I also found the gyoza pleating particularly relaxing, it might become my new meditation hobby! Thanks Guy for a great evening.
The session with Guy was brilliant. He was incredibly knowledgeable, explained everything clearly, and made the whole session relaxed and fun. I learned loads and the gyoza were delicious - Iβd highly recommend it to anyone.

In each class you will learn to prepare, roll and cook a batch of traditional Pork & Garlic Chive Gyoza. You'll also learn how to make Ichiban Dashi to make yourself a proper cup of Miso Soup to enjoy during the class, alongside a hot meal of gyoza on dressed sushi rice.
Vegan and vegetarian alternatives are available for all classes.
In the class you will make 25-30 dumplings to take home and freeze, so you can enjoy them whenever you like!
