Draw My Doggy: A Relaxed Pawtrait Session

Spend some peaceful time drawing Freddie, my friendly cockapoo, in my art studio.

Unlike a traditional workshop, this is an informal, unstructured drawing session where you're free to work at your own pace. You might choose to create one detailed pawtrait, or fill pages with quick sketches and studies as Freddie naps, stretches, plays or simply watches the world go by. Every session will be a little different. You can sit on a chair or get on the floor with Freddie. It's up to you.

With just four places available, the atmosphere is relaxed and intimate, giving everyone plenty of space to draw while ensuring Freddie feels comfortable and isn't overwhelmed. Tea and coffee will be available.

This session is suitable for all abilities, whether you've never drawn before or simply enjoy sketching from life. There are no expectations and no right or wrong way to approach it—just enjoy observing, drawing and spending time with a wonderfully expressive four-legged model. This session is aimed at adults, but if you have a calm sensible animal loving child aged 12+ who would like to come they are most welcome. This is to ensure a successful drawing session for everyone and for Freddies welfare.

What to expect:

Two hour drawing session with a short break halfway

A selection of drawing materials, paper and boards to rest on

A small group of just four participants

Cuddles with Freddie (if he feels like it)

Please bring:

A portfolio or large envelope to take your drawings home safely

A sketchbook and your favourite drawing things (if you prefer your own) - I will also provide materials

Whether you're looking to practise observational drawing, enjoy a mindful creative experience, or simply spend time with a charming cockapoo, this is a chance to slow down, switch off, and enjoy drawing from life in a welcoming studio environment.

Age restrictions: 12+
