An Evening of Persian Cookery

Discover why Persian cuisine is so well-loved and taste a selection of authentic dishes, in this food evening, with Cooking It.

A truly social event, Persian meals often last into the night as each dish is brought out one by one. This cuisine is a Cooking It favourite and on the menu will be 3-4 recipes made using seasonal ingredients, which can include:

  • Crispy rice balls with feta, mint and pul biber
  • Peanut and chicken stew with freshly made flatbread
  • Maast o khiar - a selection of dips
  • Persian vegetarian frittata
  • Labnas
  • Pomegranate molases meatballs
  • Mojardara Persian Rice with lentils & crispy onions

Much of the menu and recipes can be adapted to the guests, and vegetarians are more than welcome - simply share any dietary requirements on booking. This is a hands-on experience where you will get to experiment with recipes and have the freedom to try things out for yourself under the guidance of your chef.

You’ll go away with the insight to create these flavourful Persian dishes yourself and the recipes for everything made on the night.

Can't make it? We understand things happen! You can cancel and get a full refund up to 30 days before your experience.
Please note that this refund policy does not apply to gift bookings. You may reschedule your gift if outside the time period stated above. Please note that Yuup gift cards are valid for redemption for 12 months, and if not redeemed by this date, you will get a Yuup credit added to your Yuup account equivalent to the unspent value of the Yuup gift card less a Yuup administration fee of 20%.

Paul Mannering

Paul started his work in kitchens washing dishes as a 15 year old, and soon grew to love the hustle and bustle of this industry. He’s now worked as a professional chef for 24 years in kitchens all over the UK, as well as the U.A.E and Netherlands. As well as sharing his love for food at Cooking It, Mark also works at the National Chef Academy as Vice Principal, combining his passion for food and teaching with enthusiastic apprentice chefs. As a chef he’s willing to try anything and is always on the lookout for unique flavour combinations.
