Art Club For Adults: Unwind, Create & Play

Looking for time and space to be creative? Then come along to Creatopia’s art club for adults! A space to unwind, create, meet new people and learn new skills...

With our winter 2023 sessions being a massive hit, we have decided to run the art club once again in the spring of 2024 :)

(SPRING TERM DATES: 1st, 8th, 15th May & 5th, 12th June)

Each week will focus on a different art form or craft, with a wide range of materials and equipment available to play with ... There will be the opportunity to explore a variety of different mediums - we love to encourage creative play and our art club is your chance to dive in and play with all that the Creatopia studio has to offer!

Over the 5 weeks we will cover:

  • Print-Making
  • Upcycling & Dyeing
  • Fiber Arts such as Macrame and Felting
  • Pottery
  • Painting & Drawing
  • Lots more :)

Tasha & Gemma are experienced artists and crafters and will take you through a variety of different techniques & art-making practices step by step, whilst offering you plenty of time and encouragement to experiment and play.

What to expect:

  • Art sessions for adults, with a focus on a fun, new craft each week
  • Time to relax, explore and get creative - make a mess and not have to tidy up ;)
  • Each session starts with a demonstration, followed by time to get stuck in and experiment.
  • Plenty of tea and coffee to help along the way!

These sessions are the perfect way to carve out some time for yourself and explore your creative side. Come along, meet like-minded people and give your well-being a boost while getting your hands messy! You will leave with a new creation each week, some new skills and inspiration to carry on creating at home.

Our next 'term' starts in May and we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment. We would love for you to join us for all 5 sessions so we can get to know one another and build on projects week to week :)

SPRING TERM: 1st, 8th, 15th May & 5th, 12th June

We are only able to run these sessions at limited times during the year due to other commitments, and we run the Art Club as a not-for-profit venture.

We can't wait to see what you create :)

Age restrictions: 18+

You'll be hosted by

Tasha Bee (She/Her)

Tasha is a community artist with a passion for using the powers of creativity to aid wellbeing and social connection. She loves to discover new creative processes and bring people together to share, create and PLAY! With a background of working with vulnerable groups in the community, she believes strongly that art-making should be accessible to everyone, and wants to bring a healthy dose of creative play to people of all ages, abilites and backgrounds (in a world that can feel far too serious at times)

Tasha has been hosting creative workshops for the past 7 years and enjoys creating a warm, welcoming environment where creativity can thrive. She likes to encourage everyone to have a go at something new, and loves to see what you create!

Gemma Gale (She/Her)

Gemma found her love of Macrame when her plant obsession grew beyond the means of her apartment (and her housemate had to put her under house-plant arrest!) ... curious about all things crafty, she loves the mindful element of macrame and the calming effect it can have. Gemma has been sharing her love of the craft and running Macrame workshops for 2 years and has unravelled the process into a series of basic steps that can be mastered by all.
