Creativity for Wellbeing - 4 Week Art Course

Creativity for Wellbeing Art Course is held in a friendly, supportive small group setting at Creative Space with experienced art tutor Chloe, who has over 15 years experience of teaching creativity for wellbeing and currently teaches at Bristol School of Art.

During this four week art and wellbeing course you will be guided to try various materials such as acrylics, watercolours and printmaking. Chloe will give creative demonstrations and resources, enabling you the confidence to create your own art. You will be offered ideas to follow and time and space to adapt these to explore your own creative techniques, experimenting with the materials and outcomes.

Come along and enjoy creating art with others in a sociable and friendly environment. All materials are provided along with refreshments and biscuits. At the end of the course you will go home with lots of ideas, inspiration, more confidence and awareness of your own creativity and how being creative can support your mental health.

Whether you're retired and looking for a hobby or you just want to come and make some art with like-minded people in a sociable, positive environment, this course will allow you to express your creativity, learn new techniques and leave with a feeling of achievement and wellbeing.

No previous art experience is necessary and beginners are very welcome. Course runs on a Monday afternoon from 1pm-3pm across 4 weeks.

Chloe Scholefield (She/Her)

Chloe Scholefield is an experienced art tutor, who has over 15 years experience of teaching creativity for wellbeing and currently teaches at Bristol School of Art. She is a mother, artist, gardener, Forest Therapy Practitioner, arts for social change and well-being facilitator and lecturer. She has worked with educational, community and social/healthcare organisations. Many of the projects she has been involved in have supported both individuals and communities to have a voice, using creativity to support mental and physical wellbeing. Her research and experience has led her to combine creativity with nature connection because of the combined positive outcomes on wellbeing both for individuals and for communities as a whole.
