Come and join Lisa and Amy for an exciting day revamping a vintage Levis jacket into your new favourite spring / summer layering piece!
In this one day workshop, they'll help you create a beautiful custom denim jacket. No need for prior sewing experience, they will teach you everything you need to know!
They'll even provide you with a vintage Levis jacket thanks to Bristol based Ralph’s vintage. Just bring along that fabric you’ve had stashed for a special project or even an old scarf you have lying around to adorn your jacket with or sift through their collection of fabric scraps and vintage finds.
They will begin with an intro and explanation then guide you through the process. There will be a break for lunch so please bring some food or you can get some from the local spots nearby.
To wrap up the day, they will show you some samples of other upcycling techniques for inspiration for future projects.
You will get to keep the jacket you upcycle, cost is covered in the cost of the workshop - let the hosts know your size beforehand. If you don’t have any fabric to use, they will have a limited stash on hand. They'd love to answer any questions you might have before booking!

This was such a great experience and really accessible for people who have little to no sewing experience (as well as great for those who do). Would definitely recommend! Not only do you get to walk away with an awesome jacket that you upcycled, but you also learn fun and transferable skills. Big thanks to the organizers of the workshop, who were brilliant teachers and hosts.
A fabulous workshop ti escape the stresses of everyday life, be creative, have fun and leave with an individual piece of clothing 😀
Rebel Patch makes limited edition art patches that people can use to repair, upcycle and customise their clothes with. We set out on a mission to re-invent the iron on patch and combine a love for repair with art, using patches as a medium to combine the two. Wearable art so to speak.
We want to create a movement of radical repairers and upcyclers, teaching clothing repair workshops to total beginners or those who wants to brush up on their skills and have the space to be creative with their clothing in a group setting.
Amy is the founder of @_little_green_dress and loves thrifting and upcycling. She enjoys charity shop hopping and upcycling what she's found and wants to share the joy with others.
Lisa Matzi is a multi disciplinary designer and founder of Rebel Patch, a brand and community that empowers people to engage with their clothes by repairing, upcycling and customising them. She wants to create a movement of radical repairers that give new life to the clothes they already own.
