Create your own glittering geode resin art

Want to create your own enchanting geode art?

Join your host Alison, an experienced artist, educator and founder of resin art brand Fuzzycomma. In this workshop, you'll create your own unique, geode-style, mixed-media glass and resin artwork. All the materials you need to make one resin geode piece are included in the price.

During this creative workshop, you'll learn:

  • How to use resin safely
  • How to choose stone colours and arrangements to create your unique geode design
  • How to use pigments and dyes, glitters and other inclusions in your resin
  • How to measure the correct amount and mix resin so it always sets
  • How to manipulate resin to give multiple different finished looks, get rid of bubbles etc.

In the second hour you'll have access to all the studio facilities: stones, resin and equipment. Find your creative flow, relax and make your own geode artwork. Alison will be available for support at all times and answering any questions.

The Fuzzycomma studio is a safe place to air your ideas and allow your individuality to shine. Alison believes there's no 'right way' to create art - you don't need to have any artistic skills to create eye-catching art. Leave the studio feeling a sense of achievement and with a glorious geode artwork curing on the bench.

As resin needs at least 24 hours to cure, Alison will arrange a date and time for you to collect your artwork or to send it to you in the post. Any finishing that can't take place during the workshop (i.e. putting the picture hanging hardware on the back) will be completed before the geode is returned to you.

Once you have attended a Fuzzycomma resin course, you will be welcome to book time in the Fuzzycomma studio (£15 per person per hour plus materials) to come and create more art, or finish off your artwork with edge-gilding, geode-lines or extra layers of resin.

Caution: This may be the beginning of a life-long passion for resin art. You have been warned! Please contact Fuzzycomma if you are asthmatic, have any other breathing problems, or if you want to book in a child (over 14).
