Got some spare Tetrapak cartons lying around? Don’t throw them away - turn them into beautiful art prints instead! In this fun and eco-friendly workshop, you’ll learn how to make and print your own Tetrapak plates using simple tools and techniques.
You’ll start by flattening a Tetrapak carton and carving an image on its surface. You can use anything from a pencil to a craft knife to create your design. Then you’ll apply ink to your plate and print it on paper using a small press. You’ll be amazed by the results!
This workshop is suitable for anyone who loves art and recycling. You’ll learn skills similar to drypoint, a traditional printmaking method. You’ll also get to take home your prints and your Tetrapak plate, so you can keep making more art at home.
Don’t worry about getting messy - you’ll wear gloves to ink your plate, but you might get some ink on your fingers. It’s all part of the fun.

As a complete novice it was a fun, creative, supportive and enjoyable afternoon. Looking forward to attending another class.xx
Brilliant! 🤩 Lu is a wonderful teacher, she gives really clear instructions and plans the session carefully so as a student all you need to do is have fun creating under her inspiring guidance.
Lu is a creative force! She knows how to get you working creatively and will go to the ends of the earth to make sure you get a result - no-one left behind! Her studio is an open, welcoming space nestled in the heart of a residential community, I love it there (along with a few of the local dogs, and the odd spider!). Highly recommend it, you will come away glowing with creative joy!
Lu is a fantastic teacher. We explored, experimented and learnt a lot in a two hour workshop. Her quirky, bright and open studio just off the common is a great space to play and be creative.
Print making is inky, so please wear suitable, old clothes and an apron. You will get inky fingers, but I will provide a surgical glove for everyone. The studio on in a residential road, so parking is tricky, but buses on the nearby Gloucester Road are frequent to all parts of the city. Please turn up with time to drop your coat and bag.
Hi! I’m Lu, a print maker, artist and creative adventurer offering relaxed, creative print, workshops in my studio converted from an old MOT garage by the common.
