EmailJoin us at Creative Space this October for a Halloween themed craft workshop! Come along and create your own pumpkin out of beautiful stained glass using the copper foiling method at our studio in Staple Hill. This is the perfect workshop for beginners where you can learn all about the traditional craft of copper foiling.
In this hand-on day course you'll be able to choose from a wide selection of glass colours to make your pumpkin out of, you'll then learn how to cut and solder the glass pieces together and end the day with your own hanging to display this Halloween and throughout the year! Our experienced tutor will enable you to get a good grounding in the core skills, whilst also enabling you to finish your piece during the day ready to take home and show off! Learn about different types of glass and choose from a wide range of colours and textures to suit your style.

All materials and use of tools are included. Maximum of 7 students. Minimum age to attend is 16. Course times are 10am-4pm, with a break for lunch.

On the day
Bring your own lunch or pick something up from the local High Street 3 minute walk away. There is ample free parking in the streets outside and around the venue. Please wear closed-toed shoes, tie back long hair and wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or bring an apron. Arrive 5-10 minutes early for a prompt start.

April Pebble-Owens (She/Her)
April Pebble-Owens is a maker of Contemporary Stained and Fused Glass Artworks. Her work is inspired by the natural world, the animal kingdom, the mystical and mythical. She teaches at her workshop at Rock Farm in Shepton Mallet and is also a Stained Glass Conservator at Holywell Glass in Wells. Her approach to learning is to encourage and problem solve. Being dyslexic herself she understands that repetition and clear instructions are important to help learners get the most from her workshops. Her main aim is for her students to have fun, gain some confidence in a craft and leave with something uniquely beautiful.
