Cockpit Command: 360° Flight Thrills

NOTE: an Aerospace Bristol ticket is not required, only a planetarium ticket via Yuup (restaurant and gift shop access is free, with plenty of free parking).

How does it feel to fly a jet fighter? To launch into space? To experience forces that push the limits of human endurance? Cockpit Command takes you inside the world's most extraordinary cockpits through immersive 360° footage and live presenter-led exploration.

Step inside our digital dome and discover flight from the pilot's perspective. Using footage from inside real fighter cockpits, you'll see exactly what pilots see - and even have the opportunity to take control of the 7-metre dome yourself, panning the view as jets fly alongside you.

You're not just watching. You're in the cockpit.

Speed is one thing. G-forces are another. You'll understand what these forces do to the human body and how pilots train to endure them. Experience a Battle of Britain dogfight, where such skills and training literally meant survival. Next we journey into space: first animals in orbit, followed by Gagarin's capsule, powerful Shuttle launches, all the way to Artemis and Starship of today.

Every moment revealing how we humans adapted to fly where we were never meant to go - connecting us to Aerospace Bristol's legacy of engineers and pilots who helped make this possible.

We're bringing their world to life in 360°.

For families with curious minds aged 6+, this is both aerospace adventure & discovery rolled into one.
