EmailRock climbing isn’t just a great alternative to the gym. It’s a fun and social activity that gives a good workout at any fitness level. As you’re climbing, you have to focus entirely on the climb in front of you. This is a great way to increase concentration and still the mind. If you struggle to be present at the best of times, this taster will open your eyes up to a whole new world.
This exhilarating climbing experience offers both a physical and mental challenge. Even better, it can be tailored to whatever level is appropriate for you.
You’ll be on Redpoint’s tall walls up to 35ft high and their low-level bouldering wall, trying to work out the sequence their many colour coded climbs.
You will be fully supervised by one of Redpoint’s qualified instructors. Nothing makes them happier than introducing people to the world of climbing. Looking for a new and exciting experience that you can try on your own, as a family, or with friends? Then you have to give this a go, and have an awesome time doing it!

Did the taster session. The host was great, very informative. The climbing was higher than I thought, but it was great to gain confidence in the time we had where we were climbing without worry.

Absolutely loved the Climbing taster session! Feel as though I may have rediscovered a passion I had years ago in college and will certainly be booking more classes in the future.
Staff were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful! Our session leader was brilliant and felt as though we were in safe hands at all times. The centre itself is clean, tidy and has fantastic facilities and walls to climb, I look forward to conquering many more of the high walls and more technical climbing routes!

On the day
- Please turn up 10 mins before your session so that you can get you signed in and kitted up before your climbing begins
- Come to your session wearing comfortable clothing and remove all jewellery. If you have long hair please bring a hair tie
- The centre isn't heated as that’s better for climbing so it could be worth bringing a jumper

Redpoint Climbing Centre opened in 2008. After a long search, its founders finally found the perfect building to house their vision: a spectacular indoor climbing venue with a friendly atmosphere, in the heart of Birmingham.
The clever wall design offers a unique three-dimensional climbing experience, using an abundance of shapes, angles and notorious stalactites to test guests on. Figuring out a sequence to get to the top of the wall is a challenge that gives an unbeatable feeling of achievement.
Redpoint has hundreds of colour coded climbs and boulder problems suitable for everyone from newcomers to experts. Climbing is suitable for anyone who is five years old, right up to eighty plus! Redpoint is run by a team of friendly, qualified instructors who are all keen climbers themselves. Combined, they have a vast array of experience that can accommodate most requests. The sky’s the limit!
