An intimate evening of flavour, wine, and stories in Clevedon.
Step inside the Victorian home of Bristol wine merchant Ed Clarke and his private-chef wife Lisa for a foodie evening like no other. With just eight to ten guests around the table, this is a truly personal dining experience—intimate, welcoming, and full of delicious surprises.
You’ll be treated to a six-course small plates menu, lovingly prepared by Lisa. With more than 35 years’ experience cooking in some of the UK’s most prestigious venues—including nearly two decades catering at the House of Lords—Lisa brings with her not only incredible dishes but also unforgettable stories (ask her about the Hollywood actor who once worked as her waiter!)
Alongside the food, Ed will carefully select wines to perfectly pair with your menu. Having worked in the wine trade since the 90s, Ed’s knowledge and passion shine through with every pour. As a group, you can even choose your preferred wine region or style, and Lisa will craft a bespoke menu to match—making each dinner unique.
Inspired by the time Lisa cooked for HM Queen Elizabeth II, she also trained as a chocolatier, winning gold awards for her creations. Handmade chocolates will be available for those who’d like to round off their evening with something extra indulgent.
This is more than just dinner—it’s an evening of flavour, connection, and storytelling, hosted by two people who live and breathe food and wine.

Lisa's home kitchen can be found by the seafront in Clevedon. Lisa is a mum to three, wife, chef, and chocolatier with a love for everything food! With her cosy supper club with a twist you can enjoy seasonal, three-course cookery demos!
Lisa’s career as a chef started in the exciting world of London party and event catering. Supplying exquisite menus to the art galleries, museums, Royal palaces and national trust venues in and around London. When Lisa started her own event company Hedgehog Pie in 1996 she quickly gathered a loyal following which included Lord Irvine who was Lord Chancellor at the time. Lisa was his favourite party planner in The River Rooms, House of Lords. In this stunning historical venue, charities and government events were delivered by Lisa and her highly trained team of out of work actors. One, who went on to Hollywood stardom! During Lisa’s twenty year career as an event caterer she started her popular chocolate school The Chocolate Tart and moved to the West Country. Now based by the Bristol Channel in the beautiful Victorian town of Clevedon Lisa has finally decided she is ready to share her secrets of her recipes. Each one will have a story of who ate it and where! Lisa has cooked for VIPs, celebrities and royalty throughout her successful career. The stories are guaranteed to flow as she cooks up three seasonal courses whilst you observe and take notes. This an opportunity for any keen cook to be in culinary heaven!
