Buskers' Banquet has collaborated with Carouse Wine Bar to bring you the best of Bristol's independent food and performing art scenes for a one-off special event.

What to expect:

  • An intimate dining experience with a musical twist at Carouse Wines in Totterdown
  • A bespoke three-course meal crafted by Bristol favourite - Tomo No Ramen.
  • A chance for the audience to enjoy live after-dinner performances by Bristol-based musicians, Billy Lambert and Play Misty.

The Chef: Tomo No Ramen

The menu:

The chef cannot cater to gluten or soy allergies, or cater to a vegan diet. Please notify us with any dietary requirements. The menu will be altered accordingly

Starter:

  • Tuna Tataki - Diced tuna loin, chive, mango cheong, soy cured egg yolk, spring roll cracker

Main course:

  • Niboshi Shoyu - Umami infused shoyu ramen with wild garlic oil, pork collar chashu

Dessert:

  • Hojicha Creme Brulee - Hojicha infused creme brulee with pear and sake puree

Three course wine pairing curated for the menu between Tomo No Ramen & Carouse Wine pairing is available to add on.

The Music:

  • Play Misty - Luscious, warm three-part harmonies, intertwining acoustic guitars and soaring flute – a modern take on iconic folk sounds like CSNY and Bonnie Raitt. Their debut EP, At The Cube, has been supported by BBC Introducing and Arts Council England among others.

  • Billy Lambert - Billy Lambert is a multi-Instrumentalist, producer and composer, working on both short film, television and his own repertoire of Alt-Indie Music with various projects over the years, Billy is now honing the next chapter of his Solo Work - taking influence from acts like Jeff Buckley, Mk.Gee, and Radiohead.

Buskers' Banquet

When you attend a Buskers’ Banquet event, you can expect an intimate and special evening seated at a communal table with the other guests. You will enjoy a three-course meal delivered by a talented Bristol-based chef. Live music will be performed between main course and dessert as well as after dessert.

Whilst each Buskers’ Banquet event differs slightly, each event will contain an introduction from the chef who will provide some background about themselves and food, a three-course meal, as well as two musical performances.

We endeavour to seat everybody in a banquet-style and so please don’t be afraid to come on your own – by having ‘banquet-style’ seating you can be guaranteed an evening full of conversation with others.

Whilst each Buskers’ Banquet event differs slightly in terms of structure, each event will contain an introduction from the chef who will provide some background about themselves and food, a two-course meal, the first musical act and the second musical act. The chefs, musicians and ourselves will also be mingling and chatting to you all throughout the evening.

We endeavour to seat everybody in a banquet-style and so please don’t be afraid to come on your own – by having ‘banquet-style’ seating you can be guaranteed an evening full of conversation with others.
