We all thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our host was very personable, knowledgeable and interesting. He had a lot of interesting anecdotes and stories. . Very much enjoyed his folder of posters, photographs and other interesting bits and pieces. He was also very patient with individuals enthusiastically butting in! It was a bonus that he was a true Bristolian that had a lived in experience of what he was talking about. All in all it excelled our expectations.

A great afternoon in the company of a Bristolian expert on so many aspects of the city. I’ll never look at the door to the Hatchet pub in the same way again!

The tour was excellent in every way. John shared his extensive knowledge very generously and in an amusing way. The weather was awful but we were totally glued to the tour. Thoroughly recommend.

John was a fantastic guide, very informative with insider knowledge about what artists and musicians got up to on their performances and stays in Bristol. The tour was sprinkled with a lot of extra knowledge about the local history too. I had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend.

I had this experience as a birthday gift. I went with my wife. Excellent tour. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the Bristol music scene. He was enthusiastic and easy to hear.
The guided tour of Bristol music sites also included Bristol history.
A great gift and good value. We would recommend to music lovers and people interested in Bristol history . A trip down memory lane for some.

I took my Dad for a Father's Day present and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. So good to walk around Bristol and be able to learn new things and also reminisce. The host was brilliant - so knowledgeable and approachable.

It was a really good way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I’ve come away from it knowing far more about Bristol’s rich musical history and a few facts to entertain my friends with on a night out. My partner and I were younger than most others there, but we were made to feel very welcome and included.

John was a great host - very easy to engage with and he had many of the same interests as ourselves. Very informative and for me, a great trip down memory lane.

John was an amazingly knowledgeable guide who was equipped with anecdotes as well as amazing photos of places how they used to be - just fascinating. It was easy to visualise how these places must have looked in their heyday and the atmospheres the created. Very grateful to John and to my daughter for gifting me the experience!

Brilliant and informative tour, with a friendly tour guide. We were allowed to take our 2 dogs on the walk, the guide was so lovely to them, gave them lots of fuss and even dog biscuits! I would recommend this tour and tour guide, both were great.

This tour was a Christmas Present and although it was cold January Sunday, it was a fun and very interesting tour. From which I found lots of interesting information and I’ve lived in and around Bristol all my Life.

Had an absolutely great time. Bit of a different treat for my husband 80th Birthday celebrations. John, our host, was excellent, full of interesting facts, covering both early music as well as recent. His generosity, humour and obvious love for the subject and his city is clear to see.
