One of the headline experiences of Brazen Festival, Bristol: Built by Dreamers is a spectacular new 30-minute holographic show reimagining Bristol’s past, present and future through light, sound, storytelling and cutting-edge technology.
Created especially for Brazen by Bristol-based Holotronica, the experience will transform the magnificent surroundings of St Mary Redcliffe, bringing some of the people, ideas and moments that have shaped Bristol to life around you. Journey through the city’s story as holographic scenes emerge within one of Bristol’s most iconic buildings. From the creativity and ambition of its past to the ideas shaping its future, this is a celebration of the dreamers, innovators and changemakers who have left their mark on the city.
Behind the spectacle is Holotronica, the Bristol team behind Hologauze, a pioneering technology that has featured in tours and productions for Beyoncé and Lady Gaga, and formed the centrepiece of London’s 2025 New Year’s Eve celebrations.
For seven nights only, you’ll have the chance to experience their extraordinary visual technology in the city where it was created, as St Mary Redcliffe becomes the stage for an entirely new kind of Bristol story.
And you don’t need to be a tech enthusiast to enjoy it. Whether you love spectacular light shows, are fascinated by Bristol and its history, want to experience an iconic venue transformed, or are simply looking for something memorable to do with friends or family, Bristol: Built by Dreamers is a show for everyone.

On the day
Doors will open 30 minutes before your allocated time slot, so please allow plenty of time to arrive at the venue. A bar will be open where drinks can be purchased before the show begins. The show will begin promptly, and late arrivals may not be admitted.

Brazen is Bristol’s city-wide festival bringing together technology, creativity and culture, taking place from 9–13 November 2026, produced by techSPARK in partnership with Bristol BID.
Bristol-based Holotronica is a pioneering creative technology company specialising in holographic and immersive experiences. Founded by artist and technologist Stuart Warren-Hill, Holotronica is the creator of Hologauze®, an innovative holographic projection technology that has been used in major productions and performances around the world, including projects with artists such as Beyoncé and Lady Gaga.
For Brazen, Holotronica is working with Yuup to create Bristol: Built by Dreamers, a spectacular new holographic experience celebrating Bristol and the people, ideas and imagination that have shaped the city.
