Brewery Taproom immersive audio tour

Looking for the best beers in Bristol? This clever location-savvy audio tour of Bristol's breweries and taprooms takes you straight to the source. Get ready to immerse yourself into this city's brilliant craft beer scene.

Everyone in your group will need their own set of headphones and an Android / iPhone, so each of you can follow the tour. Your friendly audio guide Heather will give you the back-story behind four breweries en route. Surprising you with interesting facts about the buildings and areas you pass by. All of the audio, including a little beer-based knowledge, will be shared as you walk - so you can relax and chat amongst yourselves while enjoying your beers. Cheers!

You can choose to stop as many times as you like. As well as brewery tap rooms, you will get the chance to enjoy a pint in an award-winning pub's beer garden, owned by Bristol Beer Factory.

So that you can plan future beer adventures in Bristol, while you walk, you'll be given the story behind several other breweries and how to reach them. Your audio tour guide Heather will give you tips on some late-night drinking venues close to the end of the tour. There's far more than one day's drinking being recommended here! If you have the time, plan to take the tour in two parts, over a weekend or two.

Total walking time (broken up by stops) around an hour, starting at Bristol Temple Meads train station. It finishes about a 20 minute walk from the starting point. The amount of time you take will depend on how much beer you'll have and your drinking speed.

Please note: You can take the tour anytime, but two of the venues are only open on Fridays and Saturdays. Don't worry about starting at the exact time of booking, as long as it's on the right day. On Saturdays I advise starting between 12:30pm and 5:30pm (unless taking a brewery tour) and on Fridays between 3:30pm and 6pm.

One of the breweries along the route won't be opening until late Spring/ early Summer (it's in the audio tour itself as may decide to open anytime). Not to worry though, there's still four more!

Heather Goodford

Heather is the founder of Bristol Hoppers. She has lived in Bristol for more than 20 years and still loves to show this off. Her love for craft beer began after the first brewery taproom opened in Bristol. Over the weekend you'll probably find Heather in one of the city's taprooms or craft beer bars - unless she happens to be away camping instead!
