Join Birmingham Royal Ballet for a very special introduction to The Sleeping Beauty, one of the greatest classical ballets of all time, in the magnificent surroundings of Bristol Cathedral.

The evening will be presented by Jonathan Payn Principal Character Artist & Assistant Répétiteur along with Tom Rogers an ex-company dancer and Birmingham Royal Ballet's creative Digital Producer who will guide the audience throughout the evening.

Ahead of its season at Bristol Hippodrome later in April, BRB's world-class dancers will be performing some highlights from the best-loved classical ballet, showing up close the hard work and artistry that goes into the exquisite performances the company delivers on stage.

Bristol Cathedral

Standing at the heart of Bristol's vibrant city centre, Bristol Cathedral is one of England's great medieval churches. For almost 900 years it has been a living place of sanctuary, teaching, prayer and music. Events at Bristol Cathedral range from family-friendly Crafty Cathedral sessions to gin tasting and guided tours in the Norman Chapter House, through to large-scale light shows.

Jeanette Wong

Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Jeanette obtained her First-Class Honours and Master’s Degree with Distinction under Malcolm Wilson at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. She was awarded the RBC Honorary Membership in 2009 (HonRBC) for her outstanding contribution to her profession. She then studied at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest, under András Kemenes, after winning the Joseph Weingarten Scholarship. She was a full-time pianist at the Elmhurst Ballet School for six years before joining Birmingham Royal Ballet. In 2014, she was the dance pianist for Eugene Onegin at Glyndebourne Festival Opera. She also sings with the award-winning CBSO Chorus.
