EmailWant to have a go at jewellery making, right from the heart of Birmingham's historic Jewellery Quarter? Then join The Jewellers Peg in their studio and spend the day making your own silver ring!
In this experience, you will be guided by jewellery experts Vanessa and Tom. With years of practice, they will show you how to make your own silver ring from scratch.
In this experience, you will:
- Learn the basics involved in jewellery-making
- Be shown how to design, shape, solder and texture your piece
- Have dedicated 1-1 help from your hosts
- All materials provided, including the silver
- Enjoy lovely hot drinks, fresh juice and biscuits along the way
- Leave with a wearable piece of jewellery, handcrafted by you!
This experience is perfect for anyone looking to learn new things and leave with something truly unique. You can keep it and cherish it, or even give it as a gift to someone lucky. At the end of the workshop, you will be given a jewellery box to keep it in.
This workshop is made for beginners, so no prior experience is necessary. A pre-class information pack will be sent to you after booking.

- Face masks aren't required but you are welcome to bring one.
- There will be places for you to wash your hands, and hand sanitiser is also available.
On the day
- Your venue is found on the first floor and is accessible via a spiral staircase. There is no lift access.
- Please make sure any long hair is tied back.
- Please don't wear loose-fitting clothes or anything with dangling ends.
- Please wear comfortable closed shoes such as trainers.
- You can get to the venue by bus, tram or a 20-minute walk from the city centre.
- All day free and pay & display parking is available nearby.
