This skills-based silversmithing course is perfect for beginners who want to learn the craft in a warm, supportive environment. You’ll start by practicing techniques in copper before progressing to silver, building confidence and core skills along the way.
The course is designed as a natural follow-on from Term 1, but previous experience is not required - new students are very welcome.

All tools, handouts, and general materials are included. Silver is charged separately based on weight used.

Having learnt from Alice Goldsack, herself a student of the prominent Diana Porter, Bethany cares deeply about the silversmithing culture and community in Bristol. After years of creating her own work, Bethany developed engaging workshops for beginner jewellers and has taught people of all ages and abilities. Bethany is an experienced creative workshop teacher, educator and trainer who will ensure the experience is fun, memorable and participants leave feeling empowered.
