Are you a coffee enthusiast? A budding barista? If so, this experience will provide the perfect introduction to the art of making good coffee. A seriously good coffee.
Who better to host the workshop than our epic Trainer and Head Baristas from Birmingham Wayland’s Yard, Lindsey!
Your caffeine-fuelled experience will start as your hosts Lindsey and Mon introduce you to the theory and science of espresso and milk texturing. Next, move on to demonstrations of how to properly dial in a grinder - the importance of correct dosing, getting the right yield and grind setting.
Lindsey will also demonstrate how to identify good coffee, how to taste-test and help you recognise how to solve any issues with your equipment, all in the quest to extract the perfect espresso.
Your coffee adventure continues as you explore how to texture milk for different drinks and get the best tips and tricks for creating that all-important micro-foam.
Finally, you’ll move on to the basics of latte art - learn how to make a beautiful heart by the end of the workshop. This is the first step on your barista journey!

Brilliant personalised experience with a super passionate barista - could listen to her talk for hours about coffee. Learned so much and such good value for money, would definitely recommend to a friend.
The host did a great job. She was knowledgeable and passionate about coffee and was very happy to answer our many questions. The latte art competition at the end was a great idea, and I was delighted to win a bag of coffee. All in all, a great evening. Would highly recommend to others.
A coffee whizz and total legend. Lindsey is another one of our superstar coffee trainers here at Odd Kin.
