Ready to embark on a festive celestial adventure? This family-friendly pop-up planetarium experience is the perfect outing for families with young children seeking an enriching yet fuss-free experience this Christmas.
Children can play and be themselves with a planetarium show specially designed for your little ones and full of vibrant hues and captivating cosmic sights!
Babies and toddlers will be wide-eyed as the planetarium ‘opens’ to reveal the sky above in a 360° show jam-packed with twinkling stars, the milky way, and the occasional shooting star! Your tots will see the dots become constellations and transform into colourful heroes and creatures from mythology.
Then it’s time to strap into a spaceship and zoom around the Moon, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn on an extraterrestrial exploration of our Solar System.
We return to Earth to enjoy a winter wonderland glimmering with stars, brilliant Christmas trees, and shimmering 360° aurorae.

PLEASE NOTE:
Audiences sit on foam flooring and adults may wish to bring a cushion. Children age 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult, and babies in arms go free.
The planetarium is dark when displaying the night sky, and the dome fan is a little loud during entry and exit.
Moving 360° imagery may cause motion sickness. Close your eyes / look away and it will pass.
The museum entrance is on Hayes Way (a long road with four roundabouts); and 'Aerospace Bristol' is written on bright red signs, including a large red, pyramid-shaped sign.

Mario Di Maggio
Mario has nearly three decades experience with digital domes and planetariums, both fixed and mobile. He launched and managed the UK`s first purpose-built digital planetarium (Thinktank Science Museum, Birmingham, 2005-2013); as well as the Glasgow Planetarium, then the UK`s most expensive planetarium (2001-2004). Mario has worked as a consultant for the Guinness Book of World Records Macao Planetarium (China, 2004-2008) and the Peter Harrison Planetarium (London, 2005). Additional planetarium experience includes We The Curious (Bristol, 2000) and Armagh Planetarium (Northern Ireland, 2000-2001). Before that, Mario established and managed one of South Africa's first interactive science centre networks (KwaZuzulwazi in Durban, 1992-1999), as well as a 'simulated' planetarium at the Durban Natural Science Museum (1998-1999). Currently Mario is the owner and director Dome Club Ltd, also trading as Immersive Theatres (schools outreach).
