NOTE: an Aerospace Bristol ticket is not required, only a planetarium ticket via Yuup (restaurant and gift shop access is free).
Ready to embark on a celestial adventure? This family-friendly pop-up planetarium experience is the perfect outing for families with young children seeking an enriching yet fuss-free experience.
A planetarium show where little ones can react, wonder aloud, and soak up the cosmic magic.
Babies and toddlers will be wide-eyed as the planetarium βopensβ to reveal the sky above in a 360Β° show jam-packed with twinkling stars, the Milky Way, and the occasional shooting star! Your tots will see the dots become constellations and transform into colourful heroes and creatures from mythology.
Then itβs time to strap into a spaceship and zoom around the Moon, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn on an extraterrestrial exploration of our Solar System. See the Artemis rockets taking astronauts to the Moon; as well as Starship, the biggest rocket ever built preparing to take people and humanoid robots to Mars!
On returning to Earth we relax with mesmerising 360Β° art and soothing music, enjoying multicoloured kaleidoscopic patterns as they fill the dome.
Join us for a child-friendly event that's out of this world!
PLEASE NOTE:
As can be seen from the reviews below, this show is regularly enjoyed by children as young as three months old. Yet equally, the very same show is sometimes not enjoyed by children four or five years old. In the words of one visitor: "It's so hit and miss when they're very young, but my 3 year-old was transfixed".
Audiences sit on foam flooring and adults may wish to bring a cushion. Children age 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult, and babies in arms go free.
The planetarium is dark when displaying the night sky, and the dome fan is a little loud during entry and exit.
Moving 360Β° imagery may cause motion sickness. Close your eyes / look away and it will pass.
The museum entrance is on Hayes Way (a long road with four roundabouts); and 'Aerospace Bristol' is written on bright red signs, including a large red, pyramid-shaped sign.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESS : please contact the host before purchasing tickets so entry can be arranged accordingly.

My family and I loved the astrotots planetarium experience
I went with my son and he really like it a lot. He enjoyed more the 360 cockpit experience. Thank you very much.
Brilliant and informative
Lovely thing to do with the kids! Especially those who are interested in space.
My daughter mightve been a little too young but still enjoyed it, she just wanted to roam around.
My family and I loved the astrotots planetarium experience
This experience allowed me and my girl easily understand the solar system.
Really friendly check in staff and host. Went into good detail about the planets, stars and galaxies without it being overbearing. Lots of Q&A for the kids in the room. Lying on the floor looking up was a really nice touch!
Very enjoyable. Mario was a great host and it was a nice touch to have the Artemis reference and the robotics at the end.
Granson loved it we found it informative and aimed at his age group well
We liked the show and our hosts were brilliant. However, the show is billed as Astrotots which is the reason we took our 18month grandchild. We felt that the majority of the show was for slightly older kids, maybe 5-11 who would better understand some of the commentary. Our granddaughter did enjoy the show but it failed to keep her attention. I think we were expecting more shapes and colours like during the last minutes of the show and when the rocket blasted across the sky.
Great for my space mad 3 and 7yr old boys!
A great trip out with the kids, and the hosts were very patient with the children
Great introduction to stars and planets, but with a Christmas theme. My little one loved it.
Absolutely loved it. The kids were amazed!!
Our son loved it!
It was very interesting, but the host maybe needed to deliver the info in a more fun way for young children. My 1 year old mostly wondered around but my 4 year old was a bit bored by the end. I enjoyed it, and thought the images were fantastic
Brought our 3 month old baby along who was captivated by the lights and display! Host was great too.
Very informative
A good event
It was a brilliant, fun activity also very educational. I think this definitely appeal to all ages. My toddler was completely mesmerised by it all. I would definitely recommend.I'd loved it to be a little longer.
Kids thoroughly enjoyed it, it was brilliant
My family and I had a great time: even my 2 year old was fascinated.
We went to the session for younger kids so was a really relaxed experience.
Both kids want to go back again.
Loved it! Such a brilliant morning out
We were lucky enough to partake in two sessions, Astro Tots and the family session. Astro Tots was a great experience and our 8 month old loved it, very relaxing. The family session was a lot more educational, itβs certainly great for inquisitive minds. Mario answered all the questions from the children in a great way for them to easily understand.
We all enjoyed it thoroughly and will definitely be going again, Mario & Ruth were both fantastic hosts and weβd certainly highly recommend it!
My grandson (7) thoroughly enjoyed the planetarium and so did I (grandmother). We highly recommend the experience.
Our Son loved it, he was like wow so many times and it was nice we got to walk around Arnos vale after
Fantastic for 4-7 year olds Iβd say. Although the information towards the end about the international space station and upcoming space exploration projects were fascinating for adults too!
Really well presented, interesting and informative.
This was great; just the right length to keep little ones engaged and the commentary was really interesting and fun
The shapes and colours were rather exciting, a bit dazzling, but the info about the solar system etc was brilliant. The quality of the audio/visual presentation was wonderful. The dome worked very well. Kids loved it.
A fab mixture of fun and learning in a great space
Our 3 year old loved it. Would love to see it again!
A lovely Christmas option for younger children. However I would suggest if you are asking the kids about expecting Santa, then you should probably show him not just snowmen and reindeer. Otherwise a lovely show and experience and fairly priced thank you. I wanted to recommend it to friends but no future dates to do so.
So beautiful, absolutely wonderfully held space with a patient, compassionate host. Such a lovely experience, thank you. And I learnt a lot!
My kids and I really enjoyed the show. It was super engaging, relaxed, informative and fun. The host, Mario was very clear, knowledgable and personable. I would definitely attend another event and have recommended to friends.
Very informative!
Easy and relaxed, perfect for young children
Excellent. Very relaxed so meant that the kids could move around and enjoy the experience. We will be coming again
Mario has nearly three decades experience with digital domes and planetariums, both fixed and mobile. He launched and managed the UK`s first purpose-built digital planetarium (Thinktank Science Museum, Birmingham, 2005-2013); as well as the Glasgow Planetarium, then the UK`s most expensive planetarium (2001-2004). Mario has worked as a consultant for the Guinness Book of World Records Macao Planetarium (China, 2004-2008) and the Peter Harrison Planetarium (London, 2005). Additional planetarium experience includes We The Curious (Bristol, 2000) and Armagh Planetarium (Northern Ireland, 2000-2001). Before that, Mario established and managed one of South Africa's first interactive science centre networks (KwaZuzulwazi in Durban, 1992-1999), as well as a 'simulated' planetarium at the Durban Natural Science Museum (1998-1999). Currently Mario is the owner and director Dome Club Ltd, also trading as Immersive Theatres (schools outreach).
