The power of art journaling - a one day workshop

What you'll do

This is a whole day introduction to art journaling. Art journaling is a visual way to record and express thoughts, emotions and ideas. It is a powerful, open-ended means of self-exploration that frees people up and unveils their creativity.

Exploring a variety of different techniques, you'll discover there is no right or wrong way to create. Expect to break through blocks and discover how art journaling can be a powerful tool to manifest the life you want.

Your experience will be hosted by Hebe, a qualified yoga and mindfulness teacher, and Claire, a professional artist and mindfulness teacher. Together they'll take you through a process of creativity, giving you the tools to help empower you to manifest the life that you want. All equipment and materials are provided.

COVID-19 guidelines

  • We will adhere to government guidelines and due to the unpredictable nature of it, we will offer to reschedule if COVID-19 prevents individual attendance or the workshop taking place

On the day

  • Free parking on residential streets is available at weekends
  • We are near the top of Whiteladies Road and have easy bus links and are a 15 minute walk from Clifton Down Station
  • Although you won't be working with very messy equipment, please make sure you wear clothes that you are happy to get mucky

They use these techniques to help people discover how creativity can be used as a tool for transformation, empowering you to manifest the life that you want. These workshops are insightful, lots of fun and often surprising.

Your hosts

Hebe Dickins

Hebe is a yoga and mindfulness teacher, and has received qualifications from Insight Yoga Institution, Zenways, Mindfulness Association, Mindfulness Now and the Karuna Institute. She is an advanced student of Somatic Experiencing and midway through her Counselling Diploma. She originally trained and worked as an actor which prompted a quest to understand the importance of creativity and how to access it. Right from the word go she's been paintbrush in hand. Today, she is an avid doodler and uses it as a tool for self-enquiry. She is a firm believer in the power of group work and the healing effects it can have.

Claire Minter-Kemp

Claire (Minter-Kemp) has always been a professional artist, working alongside her husband, Tom, who publishes and sells her work. She is also a Mindfulness teacher (Mindfulness Association), Reiki Practitioner (member of The Reiki Federation) and has completed her Certificate in Education (Warwick University) and a Foundation Diploma in Art Therapy (Bath College). She is currently studying EFT and Matrix Reimprinting to complement and deepen her healing practice. She is determined to help others thrive, using art journaling and mindfulness as a potent mix of therapeutic mediums.
