Our experiences are about more than learning recipes. They are an invitation to explore new cultures, discover authentic ingredients, and connect with people through the universal language of food. Every class combines hands-on cooking, storytelling, and the opportunity to experience the traditions behind the dishes.

Drawing on my Ghanaian heritage, I share the techniques, flavours, and memories that have shaped my relationship with food, while creating a welcoming space for curious cooks of all abilities. Georgina Sarkodie

Hi, I’m Gina, founder of The Wandering Pot.

Originally from Ghana and now based in Bath, I created The Wandering Pot to share the rich flavours, stories, and traditions of African cuisine with people from all backgrounds.

Growing up, food was always at the heart of family gatherings, celebrations, and community. Some of my fondest memories were made around the kitchen, learning recipes that had been passed down through generations and discovering how food has the power to bring people together.

Through The Wandering Pot, I invite people to experience African culture through hands-on cooking, storytelling, and shared meals. My goal is not only to teach recipes but to create meaningful experiences that spark curiosity, connection, and cultural appreciation.

Whether you’re joining a cooking class for the first time or looking to expand your culinary horizons, you’ll be welcomed into a relaxed and friendly environment where everyone can learn, create, and enjoy great food together.
