1-to-1 Beginner's Photography Workshop

Are you the proud owner of a camera? DSLR, mirrorless or compact? Do you feel frustrated you're not getting the results you want using automatic modes and want guidance on how to get the best out of your photography?

Let your host Mickaël put your mind at rest. Under his guidance, get to grips with your camera and all the modes you can shoot on in this photography workshop for beginners.

In this 3-hour workshop you'll discover how to use your camera's composition grid and focus points, what ISO is, everything you need to know about aperture and shutter priority, and how to shoot in manual mode.

What to expect:

  • Learn how to use your DSLR, mirrorless or compact camera
  • Learn photo composition and focus
  • Learn about ISO, aperture, shutter priority and how to shoot in manual
  • Demystify your camera's function buttons
  • Learn the foundations of photography

Mickaël will simplify all your camera's intimidating function buttons. This workshop is about stripping photography back to basics and making your camera easier to understand! By the end of the workshop, you'll have all the encouragement and foundations you need to take your photography journey to the next level.

A bonus of 1-to-1 format workshop is that you will have plenty of time to learn your personal camera's settings, how to compose your images, and build a basis of understanding how photography works to embark on a more mindful journey when capturing pictures!

Mickaël Malaper

Mickaël is the man behind the camera at Malaper Photography. He pursued his interest from an early age and couldn't get his hands on his first single-use film camera soon enough.

After purchasing a Reflex camera before a summer trip to Canada back in 2016, Mickaël got hooked to photography, after few years of self-learning and a Covid lockdown he realised he wanted to turn his favourite hobby into a freelancing career.

Mickaël loves this medium for storytelling - how one image can create lifelong memories and inspire joy, without uttering a word. As a host, he aims to empower his guests to do the same.
