Silicon mould making for jewellery

This workshop is perfect for those who have started their journey in Jesmonite or resin jewellery and want to realise their designs by making their own moulds. The class will teach how to create flat and 3D moulds, and how to use them to best effect for jewellery. You will take home two finished moulds, ready to start creating jewellery to your own designs. It is hosted in the host's garden studio, and is a 1:1 masterclass.

The class will cover:

  • Designing with Jesmonite (the host's preferred eco-friendly resin)
  • Make a mould for a flat piece of jewellery to your own design
  • Make a mould for a 3d piece using a found object
  • Prepare your mould for casting - how to add findings, reinforcements and get the best results on fine detail.

The class will include an hour for lunch where you are invited to join the host's family table for a home made meal, or you are welcome to head out and explore the cafes of Easton - there are some real gems nearby. This to allow your moulds time to dry before you turn them out so you can explore how best to use them before you take them home.

There are steps through the house, but if you would like to book a class in a fully accessible venue, please send a message as this can be arranged.

Age restrictions: 12+

Adult £120
Ticket for 2 people (If you would like to share the experience with a friend, you can book this ticket. You will be sharing some equipment but will both be able to take 2 moulds home each.) £140

Vicky Myatt (She/Her)

Vicky started out making things so young that she can’t remember wanting to do anything else. Growing up she studied fashion design and worked for boutique British accessory label Emmy London for many years. While there, she started making jewellery in her spare time, soon realising that expressing her creativity through design was all she wanted to do. Since striking out on her own she has built Promises Promises into a successful design studio selling her unique jewellery internationally.

Vicky started making jewellery at a difficult period in her life and is passionate about sharing her experience of the positive power of making something beautiful with your own hands. She has been working with jesmonite for six years. Vicky loves the potential of the material to experiment with and create something unique.
