Create two beautiful fused glass coasters using your choice of a rainbow of colours and glass cuts, making your own one-off designs.
During this two hour creative experience, you’ll discover how kiln formed glass is made. Guided by local glass artist and host, Rachael, you’ll create two glass coasters using pre-cut glass and glass accessories in an array of colours. There will be lots of inspiration to hand and many design options to choose from, including using metal in your design.
Rachael will first show you your tools and glass, before guiding you through creating your glass art, all in a fun and relaxed environment. No previous experience with glass or design is necessary, and everyone is welcome to come along and get a glimpse into the world of fused glass. From beginners to more experienced creators, many people find the art of fused glass making therapeutic and a great way to tune out of the day to day and relax.
After the workshop, your glass is taken back to The Glass Cabin studio to be kiln fired and ready to collect approximately one week later. Your finished coasters will be presented in a gift box, and would make the perfect one of a kind gift.

Rachael’s interest in fused glass was first sparked when she did an evening course in stained glass over 15 years ago. After discovering the techniques and broad creativity of this art form, she's been creating with glass ever since. It was only three years ago when Rachael decided to take the leap and start creating art full time. She now has a studio at the bottom of her garden and when she isn’t hosting her glass art experiences you’ll find her there making her own art including trinket dishes and beautiful glass bunting. Rachael loves connecting with people and sharing her knowledge of working with glass, and her experiences are the perfect introduction to the world of glass art.View more experiences by The Glass Cabin
